  • MPG (Music Producers Guild)
    The Music Producers Guild was conceived and is supported by producers and engineers who are passionate about all aspects of making and recording music. It is a not-for-profit company and is run by volunteers from the membership.

    The achievements of this creative community are celebrated through the annual MPG Awards event, and we hope to stimulate development and evolution through the discussions and debate at our events and via the website.

    We see it as providing a community for us to share our collective experience and collaborate with other like-minded people.
  • UK Screen Association
    UK Screen Association is the trade association that represents companies providing production facilities and specialist services to the Screen Industries - film, television, commercials etc.

    Animation UK is the trade body that represents animation studios and producers.

    Together they form the UK Screen Alliance, an independent, industry-funded body with membership comprising companies involved in animation, post-production, visual effects, physical special effects, audio, camera and lighting hire, freelance talent agencies and studios.
  • MMF (Music Managers Forum)
    We are the world’s largest professional community of music managers.
    Since its inception in 1992, the MMF has worked hard to educate, inform and represent UK managers as well as offering a network through which managers can share experiences, opportunities and information. Our three main areas of business are:
    Supporting managers’ continuous professional development within an evolving music industry.
    Creating opportunities to develop and grow artist businesses.
    Providing a collective voice and leadership to affect change for a transparent and fairer music industry.
    We engage, advise and lobby industry associates and wider industry issues relevant to managers and we continue to recruit members and grow our network so we are truly representative of the wider management community.
  • ABTT (Association of British Theatre Technicians)
    We campaign on behalf of the theatre industry to ensure legislation is appropriate to the industry’s needs, and that regulations are suitably drafted and enforced.

  • AMPS (The Association of Motion Picture Sound)
    AMPS is a craft guild that represents the best in UK Film and Television sound crew. Our more than 490 highly skilled members include Production Sound Mixers, Sound Designers, Supervising Sound Editors, Sound Editors, Re-recording Mixers, Music Mixers, Music Editors, Boom Operators, Sound Assistants, Foley Artists, and many more.
  • BASCA (British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors)
    The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) is the independent professional association representing music writers in all genres, from songwriting, through to media, contemporary classical and jazz. BASCA campaigns on the issues that affect all songwriters and composers: from legislation to safeguarding of revenue streams; from protection of collective management to action against piracy; from fairness of contracts to fighting coercive commissioning.

    We talk to UK and EU politicians, civil servants and government agencies regularly to create a better environment in which music writers can flourish.
  • MIA (Music Industries Association)
    It’s simple; we want to make sure that venues and suppliers in the meetings, conferences and events sector are given the opportunity to reach the absolute pinnacle of operational and service excellence.

    We do this not just because we want their customers to have an outstanding experience but because we truly believe that by setting aspirational standards and by encouraging everyone to be the very best they can be we will help them to compete better on a local, national and international level and, ultimately, ensure the UK is a destination in demand.
  • PLASA(Professional Light and Sound Association)
    PLASA is the lead international membership body for those who supply technologies and services to the event, entertainment and installation industries.

    The association, which operates from offices in Europe and North America, has over 425 members and acts as the worldwide voice for the industry, providing a wide range of business resources, technical support and commercial benefits to its members.

    PLASA is also an effective lobbyist on a range of issues, working in partnership with the industry to campaign against government and regulatory decisions that negatively impact on the sector. In many of its campaigns and consultations it has achieved real change and created greater awareness and understanding of the industry.
  • IAsig (Interactive Audio Special Interest Group)
    The IASIG is an organization that brings together experts to share their knowledge and help improve the state of the art in audio for games, websites, VR content, and other interactive performances. Our members share tips and techniques, study trends, and create reports and recommendations that game developers, tool makers, and platform owners use to create better products.

    "Interactive Audio" is audio for interactive media such as video games, AR/VR environments, and websites... anywhere the audio changes according to listener input. The term "Interactive" is used to distinguish it from "linear" forms of audio (such as in films and in cut scenes in games) where the audio is decided in advance and always is the same no matter who is listening. The creation and delivery of Interactive Audio involves specialized skills and tools, and the close cooperation of composers, musicians, sound designers, programmers, educators, and software/hardware developers.
